🌙 Tide Schedule — Indian River & OC Inlets

Both inlets run two highs and two lows daily on a ~6 hr cycle, within ~15–20 min of each other (OC slightly later). Tidal coefficients are running high (~70–81) this week — stronger currents and bigger swings. Moving water is king.

🎯 Best windows: last 2 hrs of incoming + first 2 hrs of outgoing. Flounder → incoming (clean ocean push). Big stripers → night outgoing on cut bait. Surf → 2 hrs either side of high tide & after dark.

Highs/lows shift ~45–50 min later each day — verify with a live NOAA / IRI–OC Inlet tide table the morning of your trip.

🎣 What's Working This Week
🏖️ Surf
Stripers & Blues: Cut/chunked bunker on fish-finder rigs.
Drum & Tog: Sand fleas & clams fished on the bottom.
Note: Dogfish and clearnose skates will pick at cut baits.
🌉 Bay & Inlet
Flounder: Gulp baits & squid strips drifted through the channels.
Stripers: Soft plastics & bucktails near pilings; cut bait at night for big fish.
Topwater: Walk-the-dog plugs worked fast — clear water means a slow presentation gets refused.
⚓ Nearshore
Sea Bass: Squid & clam on hi-lo bottom rigs over the wrecks/reefs.
Note: Bring spare rigs — the structure eats tackle.
🚢 Offshore
Trolling: Ballyhoo (naked & skirted), spreader bars & bird teasers on weedlines and temp breaks.
Tilefish: Deep-drop squid/cut bait on the bottom.
